Our Photos
Posted by RachelWe’ve been taking lots of photos over the course of our trip, some of which you’ll find on our Facebook page, the rest live at Our Trip: A collection of silly and serious photos, ones we love and people we meet.
Immediately below are curated gallery pages with favorite images from Rachel. From the day Rachel’s parents first gave her a camera, she has loved taking photographs. As early as elementary school, she was snapping moments worth framing according to her parents. The first photo that they framed was a sunset over the lake at summer camp (it’s still on the wall too!), and she’s been intrigued by landscapes ever since. She’s also interested in images that include little to no trace of humans – urban, animals, landscape, nightscape, flora.
With the exception of a few images, most of these are for sale, and Rachel would be more than happy to sell you one.
People, Places, and Animals I Love: A collection of snapshots, carefully taken portraits, and whatever I like but aren’t really for sale.
Landscapes, Nightscapes, and National Parks: A collection of nature shots, mostly without visible human imprinting. This collection will expand greatly as the trip reaches as many National Parks as possible.
Flora, Fauna and Animals: A collection of both wild and cultivated plants, and wild animals in nature and urban environments.
Human Influence: A collection of modern and ancient architecture, art
Portfolio: Extremed: A collection of images Rachel submitted to two graduate photography schools. She did not get in, but still loves this collection and is proud of her work. (She’s also grateful she didn’t get in, so don’t fret.)
